Ashtanga is based on ancient yoga teachings. It is a rigorous style of yoga that follows a specific sequence of postures, every movement linked to breath. It is more dynamic than Hatha yoga and can be physically demanding, however each student is encouraged to take the class at their own pace; it can be suitable for beginners, who often see swift movements in their flexibility, strength, balance and stamina.
